Robyn Taggart

Robyn Taggart Queensland University of Technology Brisbane
Robyn Taggart's collection held an obvious tribal influence and to me held a similarity (ever so slightly) to Romance was Born's Namaste and Yeti Magic collections which also comprised of black and white vivid prints, teamed with bright lively colours. Again like some other designers' in the showcase,
Taggart utilises both drapery and flowing fabrics with sharp tailored pieces; juxtaposing classical femininity with the strong modern woman.
Hello Di!
I hope you are well and ha an excellent easter. It sounds like you are having fun!I just got back from showing at L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival in the Metamorphosis Showcase, which was a huge success and very valuable learning experience. As one of 12 young graduates from around Australia it was really great to be a part of and fabulous to see what other designers have created: advanced digital prints, creative cutting and garment silhouette.
The show was very well run and smooth sailing, and it was a very sleek show. Now, it might be on the cards to start a label - we'll see! I'll keep you posted,
Robyn
