POSTCARD from MILAN

Ciao, Springtime has arrived in Milan – maybe not the prettiest city in Italy but it sure has fashion WOW factor – the people, the cafes and the stores, oh yes, the shopping here is world class. Visited 10 Corso Como, a fashion superstore – loved the whole rack of Didier Loudot’s little black dresses from the Parisienne designer and author of the The Little Black Dress. Via Dela Spiga, via Montenapoleone and via Manzani make fashion shopping very easy. Lunch at Armani Cafe (via Manzani) where all the gorgeous locals dine at lunchtime. I bought an Emporio Armani black and white (with divine ribbon trim) pants suit with the incomparable style jacket for which Mr Armani is so famous. Next stop, the Galleria – a must whenever in Milan. Visited the flagship PRADA store – saw Rinaldo and entourage there. Lots of model and celeb spotting in this city. My fave ristorante was Don Lisander, 12a via Manzani 20121, Milano. The Duomo (Cathedral) is still a work in progress – restoration almost completed. I fell in love with, no not an attractive Italian man, but the Ermanno Scervino white trench coat – which I later bought – on the via Dela Spiga. Certainly for fashion lovers, this city should be on the itinerary. From Milano,

ciao, di…
