Have fallen for these new fitted, tailored and cuffed shorts the Italian girls are all wearing with gorgeous hosiery and boots. Sometimes they ( those with long lovely legs and young knees ) wear cute long sox atop their boots - the boots can be flat or high heeled , but quite plain in design - not the big buckles or fancy trim of last winter.

Hosiery is always an important part of the European winter look, for the cold of course but these will work well for us too as it pulls the look together and with the shorter shaped knitted jacket its all quite dressy.- not the bad reputation shorts can sometimes get in the summer----- think tailored and smart. Its a look which sure works sitting side saddle on a vespa or taking part in the passagiata on the via Condotti, but can see it being done well in australia as a more sporty take on suiting .

Then there are BAGS, beautiful big slouchy bags - every woman needs to focus on her bag, her sunglasses, her boots and Jacket and suddenly she is feeling and looking bellisima,
